Testing

An eye examination is about more than just measuring your vision.  A full examination will also check for eye conditions such as cataract, glaucoma and macular degeneration.

A comprehensive test can also discover early signs of general health problems such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

It is important that VDU users have regular eye examinations to avoid unnecessary eyestrain.  We are members of national VDU eyecare schemes such as ASE Eye Care Plan and Accor eyecare vouchers and will accept these as payment for your VDU eye examination.

We feel it is important to offer the best care we can and so we regularly invest in new technology.

  • Optomap® allows us to see a far greater area of the back of your eye than normal and the stored images gives us greater accuracy when looking for small changes in your ocular health.
  • Visual fields testing allows us to test accurately for glaucoma.
  • Precision tinted lenses determined by Colorimetry can help to give relief from visual stress when reading.

Our optometrists are registered to provide NHS tests and our clinical price list is available here.
